 Manifestation which brings joy and happiness in lives of children with special needs, who live in Special institutions all over the country, since 2003. |

"Santa Claus' Sledges" is the greatest New Year manifestation for children with special needs who live in special institutions all over the country. "maliVEliki ljudi" traditionally prepare and organize this manifestation which gathers ALL biggest Institutions and Homes in countryside provinces for children with special needs.
Organization and preparation of "Santa Claus' Sledges" lasts for about three months before opening and the whole performance lasts for 10 - 20 days. Those days are days of love, happiness and fun that children remember through the whole year. |

Back in 2003, "maliVEliki ljudi" started "Santa Claus' Sledges" with goal to complement manifestations, which were organized by employees in children's homes and were limited by financial resources. Today, this event is complete whole-day entertainment with all New Year's charms, that children wait and talk about throughout the whole year.
After two years of program development, for "Santa Clause's Sledge" in 2005, "maliVEliki ljudi" with donor's help, succeeded to prepare presents for all kids (2411 children in most endangered Homes, including immobile children) and performance of Santa Clause, which stayed in their memory for a long time. |

| SANTA CLAUS' SLEDGES 2007 |

 |
 Manifestations Santa Claus' Sledges 2007 included 2847 children from within 11 special institutions for children with special needs from 10 cities all over the country. New Year's caravan of love provided a whole day events with a lot of actors, New Year and Christmas gifts for children and a lot of joy and smiles on the faces. |

Caravan of Santa Claus started the journey on 17 December 2006 and included following Special institutions and Children houses:
• House for babies and very young children with mental disturbances Kolevka in Subotica on the north of Serbia. In Kolevka live 200 children.
• On the same day, caravan continued to Special institution for children and youth Veternik close to Novi Sad where Santa Claus gave 510 Christmas gifts to the children. The show was organized by the actors of the Batajnica Theater.
• 22 December 2006. Santa Claus’ Sledges reached the Special institution for children and youth “Dr. Nikola Sumenkovic” in village Stamnica, next to Petrovac on Mlava. Everything started with a New Year’s spectacle, followed by the Santa’s and Fairy’s visits to the pavilions and giving maliVEliki gifts for 471 children.
• On 23. December 2006, maliVEliki caravan reached the children living in Special institution for children and youth with special needs in Kulina, where 600 children got surprised and charmed with New Year’s and Christmas gifts and spectacle with Good Prince and Fairy.
• Tomorrow, on 24 December 2006 maliVEliki ljudi visited the children (these children, unfortunately, were not visited by anyone from the last year when Santa Claus’ Sledges were there) who live in Special institution for people with mental disturbance in Tutin. 200 children have accepted gifts and welcomed Santa Clause with joy and delight.
• New Year’s caravan continued the journey on 27 December 2006 in Special institution for children and youth in Sremcica where were given 312 maliVEliki gifts. Celebration was awesome!
• Then the Hospital for neurology and cerebral paralysis in Sokobanjska, 114 children more have been visited and charmed with New Year and Christmas joy on 28 December 2006.
• On Christmas Eve, 6 January 2007, Christmas become even more cheer together with all the presents and gifts for 95 children living in Monastery house of Monastery Saint Petka in Izvor, next to Paracin.
• On 19 January 2007, Santa Claus’ Sledges have parked on the parking of Daily care “Nada” in Kladovo where 45 children got the gifts and New Year’s spectacle.
• That day, Santa Claus went as well to surprise 80 children of House for children and youth in Negotin.
• And finally, Santa Claus’ Sledges reached the final destination before trip back to north pole, Special school “Sava Jovanovic - Sirogojno”, in Zemun, with 210 children. When Santa was on his way back home, he promised that next year he will prepare even more shows and gifts and told to kids to be good all over the year and to wait for him...

Since during the 2006 children were very good, Santa Claus’ Sledges continued to provide gifts and joy to the children even after the Christmas and New Year. For the Saint Sava Holidays:
• Special institution in Stamnica
• Special School in Zemun
...where maliVEliki Ljudi provided also clothes and “Saint Sava gifts”. |

“Santa Claus’ Sledges 2007” included 11 special institutions for children and youth with special needs, in 10 cities in Serbia, where live 2847 children. These Houses and Institutions are very far from the big cities, on very distant locations. For the fourth time, Santa Claus’ Sledges managed to pull the smiles and joy on the faces of children that are almost forgotten. |

New Year's program and performance have been created and performed by actors from theatre for children and "maliVeliki ljudi" crew. Good fairy, Clown, fake Santa Clause and dwarfs Slavisha and Radisha were dancing with children, giving them presents, juices and sweets. Special attention was payed to immobile children who were not able to leave their rooms; crew was going through pavilions,giving each child a gift with happiness and joy.

SANTA CLAUS' SLEDGES 2003 / 2004 |

First "Santa Claus' Sledges"… Now it looks as if it was before time! :-) I can remember that some of the employees in Homes were looking at us with disbelief at first, until they saw what we were doing and that we have brought so many beautiful presents and a lot of fun to children. The reason for that, was a fact that in these Homes, in countryside, visits were so rare that, if somebody came, there was a doubt about why that person came in the first palce.
I can remember that it was the firt time for us to go by bus in Kulina. Snow was more than one meter high and the furthest we could go was up to the bottom of the mountain in which Home was placed. Because it was not possible to continue by bus we had to organize transport of complete material, presents and equipment by tractors. It took us 2 hours until we finished, but we made it!
I would like to thank once more "Eko yu-Hellenic Petroleum" and "Lasta" for believing in "MaliVEliki ljudi" crew when everything was difficult and at the very beginning.
Back than, as today, nothing could stop us to finish what we planned!
